Job Title: CNC MachinistJob DescriptionThis role focuses on setting up, operating, and performing program edits on CNC mills and lathes in a cellular production environment. You will work with a variety of machines, interpret blueprints, and use precision measuring tools to produce high-quality parts while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC vertical mills and horizontal lathes, ensuring efficient and accurate production. • Perform program editing on CNC equipment as needed to meet part specifications and quality standards. • Set up and operate numerically controlled vertical and turning centers, tube lathes, band saws, abrasive (stone) saws, and tie rod machines. • Operate Mazak Integrex Machining Center with 4th axis when required (experience with this equipment is a plus). • Work from blueprints to determine machining requirements, dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations. • Use micrometers and calipers to inspect and verify dimensions, ensuring parts meet specified tolerances. • Perform cleaning, de-burring, masking, and painting of cylinders as part of the production process. • Handle materials safely, including loading parts into machines and gathering tools and materials for specific jobs. • Remove chips from machines and perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. • Carry out all operations within the capability of the machines being operated, following established procedures and safety guidelines. • Work effectively in a cellular production environment, demonstrating flexibility to perform multiple tasks and support production needs. Essential Skills • At least 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC vertical mills or horizontal lathes. • At least 3+ years of experience working from blueprints to produce precision parts. • At least 3+ years of experience using micrometers and calipers for dimensional inspection. • Proficiency in CNC machine set-up, operation, and basic program editing. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machining instructions. • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes. • Ability to work safely with a variety of machine tools and production equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience operating Mazak Integrex Machining Center with 4th axis is a plus. • Comfort working in a cellular production environment that requires flexibility and multitasking. • Ability to perform secondary operations such as cleaning, de-burring, masking, and painting of cylinders. • Experience with material handling, including loading parts and organizing tools and materials for specific jobs. • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards. • Strong organizational skills to support general housekeeping and chip removal from machines. You will operate CNC mills and lathes, numerically controlled vertical and turning centers, tube lathes, band saws, abrasive (stone) saws, tie rod machines, and potentially a Mazak Integrex Machining Center with 4th axis. The work involves active material handling, chip removal, and general housekeeping to keep the area clean and safe. Shift options include first shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, providing schedule flexibility based on your preference. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Cudahy, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
