Job Title: Project EngineerJob DescriptionThe role of a Project Engineer involves overseeing the successful delivery of projects from concept to commissioning. The position ensures projects meet customer specifications while managing safety, quality, efficiency, and ensuring budgets and timelines are adhered to. Strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and attention to detail are essential to manage multiple ongoing projects effectively.Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale refrigeration construction projects from award through commissioning and final punch list, acting as the primary point of contact for clients. • Review and manage project contracts to ensure alignment with scope and terms. • Collaborate with multiple trades to ensure seamless execution, keeping projects on track in terms of both quality and timelines. • Develop, maintain, and adhere to detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall contractor schedules. • Ensure proper staffing levels and manage the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment for timely delivery to project sites. • Build and maintain strong relationships with national and local vendors for cost-effective procurement. • Oversee project scope and manage change orders as necessary, ensuring customer satisfaction while controlling project costs. • Track and support engineering progress throughout the design phase, ensuring alignment with project goals. • Coordinate with purchasing departments to track materials and follow up on delivery schedules. • Identify and manage risks to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly in relation to ammonia and CO2-based refrigeration systems. • Maintain accurate records of all aspects of the project and provide regular updates to leadership and clients. • Provide weekend and evening support as needed for field construction work. Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred). • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing large-scale industrial refrigeration or related projects. • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams. • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to solve complex issues independently. • Excellent organizational and documentation skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency in project management software and familiarity with CAD and engineering drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in ammonia and CO2-based refrigeration systems. • Professional Engineering License. • Ability and willingness to travel to construction sites nationwide. Work EnvironmentThe headquarters is located in Lyndhurst, VA, with a team of around 380 people, including 80 engineers and 120 operations staff. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
