Project Administrator III

We have an exciting opportunity in Poway, CA. for a Project Administrator.
With general supervision, this position is responsible for the administration of operational aspects of ongoing projects within the Operational Excellence group, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and reporting using Power BI.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Administers daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects; participates in project plan development, with a focus on tracking and reporting key operational and project performance metrics. • Integrates and analyzes project and operational data to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met. • Participates in problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients by using data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. • Develops appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records. • May represent the organization including communicating project status and data‑driven insights. • Provides direction to support staff and may provide direction to less experienced professional staff in the use of reporting tools, data standards, and project administration processes. • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information, including project, operational, and personnel data. • Actively supports Environmental Health and Safety continuous improvement projects and Operational Excellence initiatives, including documenting and standardizing processes and metrics. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications: • Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and six or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. • Preferred disciplines include Business Administration and Environmental Health and Safety. • Must demonstrate a general understanding of project administration principles, theories, concepts and techniques, and a strong interest in developing project management capabilities (such as scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication). • Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates, and in using data to monitor progress and performance. • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes and reporting standards. Must be customer focused and possess: • The ability to identify issues, analyze data (including use of Power BI or similar tools), and develop solutions to a variety of problems; • Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings, including data visualizations and dashboards; • Good interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals, including leadership. • Good computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other data analysis and reporting tools. • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours as required. • Ability to support EH&S compliance within projects to ensure activities follow company safety polices and applicable regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, state/local requirements) • Good EHS -related documentation (training records, inspection reports, permits, logs) and preparing EHS-related reports for internal and external stakeholders • Ability to communicate EHS expectations to project teams and contractors, and to promote as strong safety culture through regular interaction, meetings, and updates. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
