Job Summary This is an Operator 1 position that is required to safely operate the Lysine Process equipment. Monitor and operate Lysine Process equipment to maintain the target production rates. Be able to work in a team environment and individually. Operate various types of equipment from Ultra Filtration to final evaporation. It is the expectation that control room operators will become qualified and maintain qualifications for 2 op 1 positions.
Essential Job Functions • Operate pumps and understand how they function • Operate and know the differences between manual and pneumatic style valves • Understand how to build and read trends for trouble shooting • Understand sampling and how to make changes to the equipment from the results • Basic knowledge of process controls • Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas to appropriate standards • Understands their role in food safety and quality systems, actively participates in food safety efforts and ensures all activities conform to good manufacturing practices Special Skills • Knowledge of processes • Mechanical reasoning • Knowledge of Food Plant GMP Working Conditions • Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures. : Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
