Job consists of the responsibility for the prepping, assembly, testing and/or packing of a variety of electrical, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical devices. Must be able to use a variety of tools, gages, machines, and simple measuring devices to assure proper conformance to specifications and drawings. May be on feet all day.
• Is responsible to uphold safety, quality, and production standards. • May perform assembly, finishing, testing, and packing operations and adjust process or product for proper appearance, mechanical, and/or electrical function. • Following clearly defined process sheets, verbal instructions, visual aids, assembly instruction machinery or model, employee performs specified assembly procedure on a production basis. • May be required to operate forklift or other material handling devices. • Completes orders on time and to the required specification. • Makes changes and adjustments to tools, machines, and fixtures. • Rejects defective material. • Handles material as directed to ensure an uninterrupted flow of work. • Advises on better means to complete the functions within the job and continually improves the operation.
• Requires lifting and transporting light, medium, and heavy assemblies, plus lifting and transporting containers of component parts on occasion. • Ability to lift 40 lbs. • Responsible for daily clean-up and maintenance of workstation. • May perform additional duties within the broad scope of the job and/or in the department. • Equipment Used: Various Assembly hand and air tools.
