The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging is seeking a trained Interventional Radiologist to join our growing radiology department across the Greater Houston area. The successful candidate will provide a broad range of image-guided diagnostic procedures. Position Key Accountabilities:
• Perform a broad range of image-guided minimally invasive procedures. • Evaluate patients in consultation and determine appropriate interventional treatment. • Perform vascular and nonvascular interventions, including biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization procedures, and other procedures appropriate to the physician's expertise. • Participate in inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services. • Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams. • Provide pre- and post-procedure patient management. • Participate in departmental quality improvement, education, and peer-review activities. • Participate in call coverage as assigned.
Qualifications:
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency. • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or equivalent qualifications. • Board certification or board eligibility in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology. • Texas Medical License or Faculty Temporary License. • Strong clinical, procedural, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Experience with a broad range of vascular and nonvascular interventions. • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
