Job Description Manager – Process Excellence – R2R/P2P/A2R Department: Finance Transformation Reports To: Director Process Architecture R2R/P2P/A2R
ROLE PURPOSE AND GENERAL SUMMARY The Manager –Process Excellence (A2R, P2P, R2R) is a key enabler of end-to-end process strategy, design and optimization across finance and interfacing business processes. Reporting to the Director, Process Architecture (R2R, P2P, A2R), this role supports process analysis, future-state design, roadmap development, and requirements definition across complex, cross-functional process areas. The role combines deep process expertise, finance acumen, continuous improvement, capability, and strong understanding of enabling technologies to help shape scalable, standardized, and business-led process transformation. The role works closely with the Director Process Architecture R2R/P2P/A2R and part of the E2E Business Transformation team under the Transformation Management Office (TMO). It also interacts with Subject Matter Experts, Global Tech, and other stakeholders that are either impacted by change or part of its delivery to ensure the process area evolves in a scalable, controlled, and business-led manner. This is a process-first, cross-system role. It is responsible for defining end-to-end process requirements, key controls, handoffs, governance, and operating framework direction across multiple systems and business interfaces. Recommendations and direction should be approved by the Director Process Architecture, who also supports primarily on Vision and facilitation with senior stakeholders – Finance / Global Process Owners and other.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inform and shape roadmap development by assessing current-state processes, analyzing pain points and improvement opportunities, and partnering with key stakeholders to align recommendations with corporate objectives, process strategy, business priorities, and leading practices.
• Develop inputs and recommendations that translate business strategy, process pain points, value opportunities, and partner or technology dependencies into a prioritized roadmap of structural, operational, and technology-enabled process improvements across the portfolio.
• Ensure process designs incorporate appropriate controls, compliance requirements, and sustainable execution practices.
• Establish process standards and governance practices that support consistency, transparency, scalability, and effective execution.
• Contribute to the definition and evolution of the target operating framework for the portfolio, including key handoffs, ownership boundaries, and governance mechanisms across business, service delivery, and technology teams.
• Lead process design activities across the portfolio, including workshop facilitation, requirements definition, current-state analysis, future-state design, and functional process design.
• Produce and maintain process documentation, design artifacts, and decision records needed to support alignment and implementation.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment with Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and technical teams to translate approved process designs into delivery, while driving structured trade-off decisions where process, technology, or resource constraints affect priorities, sequencing, or scope.
• Support stakeholder alignment around process decisions by clarifying impacts, resolving cross-functional concerns, and enabling coordinated change where process redesign spans multiple teams, systems, or operating models.
• Track and evaluate value realization and process performance across the portfolio, using insights to assess process health, improvement progress, and the effectiveness of implemented changes over time.
• Leverage data, process analysis, stakeholder insight, and relevant market and technology developments to identify structural issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Escalate to the Director point for complex or cross-functional process issues, supporting structured resolution, root-cause analysis, and long-term solution design with business, service delivery, and technology teams.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• 4+ years of experience in business process transformation, operational excellence, or continuous improvement
• Experience working across multiple systems/platforms and understanding how technology enables process design, controls, and reporting
• Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, with the ability to connect finance requirements to upstream and downstream business processes
• Demonstrated ability to apply transformation methods and frameworks.
• Strong process design skills including analysis, future-state design, documentation, and implementation.
• Ability to work across functions, geography / culture and seniority levels, influencing without authority and contributing to shared architecture practices and standards across the broader Process Transformation organization.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in or with a Finance or Shared Services environment in a complex, international organization.
