As a Managed Services - Fund Accounting - Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outsourced solutions that streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency for our clients. Within our Assurance practice, you will leverage your skills in project management, technology, and process optimization to provide exceptional services. As a Manager, you will lead teams, manage client accounts, and focus on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating our purpose and values in a meaningful way. You will motivate, develop, and inspire others to deliver quality, while embracing technology and innovation to enhance your delivery.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will execute outsourced processes, such as client and customer interaction, data review, enrichment and processing, implementing and monitoring quality controls, and resolving escalations and queries. You will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. By developing skills outside your comfort zone and encouraging others to do the same, you will contribute to the success of our firm and help identify opportunities that drive our business forward.
Responsibilities
- Leading the execution of outsourced processes, including client interaction and data management - Guiding teams in implementing and monitoring quality controls to enhance service delivery - Managing escalations and resolving queries to maintain client satisfaction - Utilizing project management skills to streamline operations and improve efficiency - Overseeing compliance auditing and quality assurance investigations to uphold standards - Developing and mentoring team members to leverage their strengths and enhance performance - Analyzing system components to identify linkages and interactions for process optimization - Encouraging innovation and embracing technology to improve service outcomes - Reviewing and verifying financial documents to support accurate reporting - Building and maintaining relationships with clients to identify opportunities for service improvement - Deliver robust NAV and financial reporting across assigned funds, ensuring adherence to SLA timelines, accuracy thresholds, and regulatory requirements. - Work closely with the client’s staff and India-based colleagues in Bengaluru - Carry out BAU oversight across financial reporting, fund accounting, and NAV delivery - Perform error and risk validation, analyze control failures, support remediation activities, and contribute to Risk & Compliance investigations.
What You Must Have
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. - Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or MBA (Finance) are an advantage. - Relevant Investment Management qualifications or certifications (e.g., CISI, FINRA) would be desirable. - 8–10 years of experience in financial services. - Minimum 5 years of experience in fund accounting or fund financial reporting oversight in a supervisory or managerial role. - Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
- Strong technical expertise in private equity fund accounting, NAV oversight, and financial reporting, with knowledge of regulations across key jurisdictions, particularly the US. - Solid understanding of private markets structures and asset classes (e.g., LP/GP, ICAV, private debt, real estate, and alternative credit) and associated valuation methodologies. - Experience working within an outsourced operating model, with a proven ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accountability in a governance-driven environment. - Demonstrating analytical thinking in managed services - Utilizing business process outsourcing for fund accounting - Excelling in compliance auditing and review processes - Implementing quality assurance metrics and process design - Reviewing and verifying financial documents with precision - Embracing change and innovation in service delivery - Mentoring team members to enhance their skills and performance
