A bit about the role <strong>A bit about the Role<br></strong>The Volunteer &amp; Workforce Development Coordinator provides the essential administrative and project management support that underpins British Rowing’s learning and workforce delivery operations.<br>Working closely with the Volunteer &amp; Workforce team colleagues, this role ensures the smooth planning, scheduling and administration of courses, development opportunities and bespoke projects.<br><br>You will administer British Rowing’s systems – JustGo and RowHow (our Moodle based learning<br>management system) – to 1) ensure courses and participants are managed efficiently and accurately, and 2) to ensure workforce registration data is accurate. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality volunteer and workforce qualifications, programmes and projects. You will help ensure this support is accessible, member-focused and delivered in line with British Rowing’s commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and respect. A bit about you <strong>Person Specification<br>Essential Skills</strong><br><br><ul><li> Highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.</li><li>A confident user of digital platforms and systems including MS Office, able to learn and apply new tools quickly.</li><li>Project management experience with strong organisational and planning skills, with evidence of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.</li><li>Experience of managing financial processes.</li><li>Proactive, solutions-focused and able to resolve issues constructively.</li><li>Committed to upholding inclusive practices and safeguarding standards.</li></ul><strong>Desirable Skills<br></strong><ul><li>Knowledge of JustGo, Moodle or similar systems.</li><li>Knowledge of Zoom, Googlemeet and other digital platforms.</li><li>Experience working in sport, education, or membership organisations.</li><li>Familiarity with awarding body requirements and quality assurance processes.</li><li>Understanding of volunteer development and training pathways.</li></ul> Mandatory Requirements <strong>Responsibilities<br></strong><strong>Learner and member support</strong><ul><li> Manage Education TeamDesk and phone enquiries, ensuring timely responses, clear communication and a high standard of customer service.</li><li>Support learners through their journey, from registration and course access through to completion and certification.</li><li>Manage safeguarding training administration for volunteers, helping maximise course completion and certification.</li></ul><strong>Systems and course administration<br></strong><ul><li>Administer and maintain British Rowing’s learning and booking systems, including JustGo and RowHow.</li><li>Set up and manage online classrooms, learner accounts, joining instructions and tutor resources.</li><li>Support course feedback and quality assurance processes, including the use of QR codes and learner feedback tools.</li><li>Coordinate the distribution of physical resources to tutors to support course delivery. </li></ul><strong>Planning, reporting and finance<br></strong><ul><li>Support the Volunteer &amp; Workforce Development Delivery Lead to plan and deliver a rolling 12 month national calendar of learning opportunities.</li><li>Provide data and insight to support team planning, reporting and organisational KPIs.</li><li>Support financial administration, including processing orders and managing invoices.</li></ul><strong>Projects and improvement</strong><ul><li>Support the Head of Volunteer &amp; Workforce Development with projects and workforce register accuracy.</li><li>Work with colleagues to streamline systems and processes, improving efficiency and the learner experience.</li></ul> What we offer Besides the salary and 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) pro rata, you’ll also get:<br>7.5% employer pension contribution (when you contribute 3%).<br>Eye care vouchers.<br>Life assurance (x3 your salary).<br>Cycle to work scheme.<br>Free annual ROW Membership.<br>Free Parking in Hammersmith.
