Bede builds market-leading gambling entertainment experiences, and great front-end engineering plays a huge part in how our products feel, perform and scale. We’re looking for a Front-end leaning Software Engineer to join our Experience Tribe in Newcastle. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building high-quality, user-facing features, cares about clean and reusable code, and wants to work closely with product and other engineers to bring ideas to life. This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in our Newcastle upon Tyne office two days a week. Please apply only if you’re comfortable with this arrangement. Building and evolving user-facing features using modern frontend technologies Writing clean, reusable and scalable code that stands the test of time Working closely with Product and other engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and well-implemented Optimising applications for performance, responsiveness and scalability Contributing to documentation and shared knowledge, helping the whole team move faster Taking part in Scrum ceremonies and collaborating openly within your team Reviewing code, sharing feedback and supporting high engineering standards Debugging and problem-solving across frontend applications
