Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious Senior Pharmacy Assistants to join our dynamic team working flexible bank shifts. The post holder must be keen to learn and develop with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team. A flexible and adaptable approach to work and a commitment to self development are essential
**Please note, this is a bank position and Shifts are available Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30.**
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for specific activities in pharmacy stores, dispensary and ward-based medicines management.
To dispense medicines to inpatients, outpatients and day cases, provide technical support to ward based clinical pharmacy technicians and provide medicines topping up services to wards.
To ensure a patient centric approach to all activities undertaken by the pharmacy department.
To ensure the quality assurance agenda is embedded into all aspects of work undertaken by all staff both in the Pharmacy and at ward level.

Person Specification
Education Essential
2 G.C.S.E.'s including Maths & English language grade C/4 or above, C.S.E 1 or an equivalent qualification (such as functional skills level 2)
Desirable
