Main duties of the job As a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, youll be part of our supportive team based primarily at Gravesham Community Hospital, Gravesend. Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist looking to develop your skills in a friendly and forward-thinking community team?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our team based at Gravesham Community Hospital, working 37.5 hours per week.

Youll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary service that encourages innovation and continuous development. Our team has adapted to provide flexible, person-centred care including a mix of in-person and telehealth interventions ensuring our patients continue to receive high-quality, evidence-based therapy.

Gravesham Community Hospital is conveniently located near St Georges Shopping Centre, surrounded by local cafs and shops, making it an ideal base location.

Main Responsibilities

As a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will:

Provide assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and advice for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Work closely with senior clinicians to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions. Manage a varied caseload that may include patients with neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, voice, and dysfluency disorders. Contribute to service development and multidisciplinary meetings as part of the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT). Receive support and supervision to develop clinical expertise and build confidence in your specialist areas.The Ideal Candidate

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification HCPC registration RCSLT membership Experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of conditions, using a variety of assessments and therapy approaches A proactive approach to learning and development, with a passion for delivering person-centred care Confidence using IT systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)About the Company
