This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services across our acute hospital site, Community Diagnostic Centres and recently opened scanning centre. Our department provides a wide range of services including general X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, DEXA, mammography, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology and cardiology services.

Main duties of the job
Milton Keynes is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, offering excellent transport links, vibrant cultural and leisure facilities, and extensive green space, with approximately a quarter of the city made up of parkland and woodland.
As a Radiographer at MKUH, you will undertake a broad range of imaging examinations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety and professionalism in line with the Trusts core values. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the training and development of students, apprentices and learners.
We actively support career development, role extension and advanced practice opportunities. Rotations through CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology and Cardiology may be available. Our department also has established reporting radiographers covering MSK, chest and abdominal reporting.
The postholder must hold a BSc (Hons) Radiography, or DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent in Radiography and be HCPC registered.
You must demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. Be committed to continuing professional development. Have a good understanding of radiation protection, IR(ME)R and relevant health and safety legislation. Be able to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary Team.

Qualifications and knowledge Essential
BSc (Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent Health and Care Professions Council Registration Evidence of a sound level of computer literacy (MS Teams, word, outlook, power point and excel) Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS), radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving communications systems (PACS) Knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures Good understanding of health and safety requirements Sound awareness of data protection, freedom of information and confidentiality issues within NHS Sound awareness of data protection, freedom of information and confidentiality issues within NHS Knowledge of relevant national imaging standards (e.g., IR(ME)R 2017, IRR '17 and associated codes of practice)
