Job summary
The post holder will work within the Facial Lipoatrophy Service to provide assessment and non-surgical treatment for moderate to severe Facial Lipoatrophy in patients living with HIV. This service aims to restore facial appearance and improve patient experience and satisfaction.
Treatment of Facial Lipoatrophy is delivered by deep dermal injections of Poly-L-Lactic Acid PLLA (New-Fill) directly into the face. This helps to correct HIV related lipoatrophy and aims to restore facial appearance. Training in the administration of the New-Fill treatment is required to ensure efficacy and safety. The Facial Lipoatrophy Service is centralised and managed by the Chelsea and Westminster HIV services. All patients attending London HIV Clinics with moderate to severe Facial Lipoatrophy are eligible to be referred for New-Fill treatments.
