About this role

Water Resources Group (WRG) is a company that provides leadership and resources to a family of companies whose collective mission is to be a national leading self-performing water contractor and leader in collaborative delivery methods while using our core skill sets to provide services to the industrial, commercial, and utility services markets.

The WRG Marketing Department leads the company's collaborative delivery method pursuit initiatives from start to finish through an in-depth understanding of the company's goals, objectives, and abilities as well as each project's requirements. Additionally, the department also focuses on internal communications and cross-functional support.

Working as part of the WRG Marketing Group, successful candidates will:

• Gain a foundational understanding of construction terminology

• Learn about the collaborative delivery pursuit process

• Understand the Statement of Qualifications and Request for Proposal process

• Learn how to navigate and interpret owner documents

• Assist with proposal development by preparing graphics, team resumes, project sheets, and layout edits

• Support photo editing

• Assist in maintaining brand compliance for client-facing materials and internal communications

• Contribute to packaging and organizing submittals and supporting documents

• Participate in interview preparation meetings

• Help format, edit, and print a variety of different marketing materials

Each internship starts with a Learning Objective Plan custom built for each participant. This outlines the learning objectives for the season and is the foundation for a season end review of work completed. This season end review is completed by the intern and their mentor and these summarize the duties actually performed during the work period and provide the student worker feedback regarding quantity and quality of work performed, work ethic, knowledge and competency, teachability, communication, attitude and self-control, organization, adaptability, initiative, and reliability while on the job. Through an exit interview, the student worker has an opportunity to discuss the content and comments included in the forms. Additionally, full-time opportunities upon graduation are discussed and a career path is mapped out to facilitate the attainment of career path goals.
