Salary: £30,000+ per annum, depending on experience, plus enhanced uplifts and allowances.

About the Role:

At Cyberhawk, our pilots play a critical role in delivering world-class services across multiple sectors. To support operational flexibility, resilience, and career development, all pilots are expected to develop and maintain skills across both the Utility, Oil and Gas, and Marine sectors.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and technologies, providing valuable experience across different industries and environments. To support our customers' operational requirements, pilots will also participate in weekend operations as business needs dictate, typically averaging around 25% of weekends. We recognise the importance of balancing work and personal commitments and where possible try to accommodate individual circumstances when scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Act as Pilot in Command for commercial drone operations across multiple aircraft platforms, payloads, and operational environments.

• Plan and execute safe and efficient drone inspections, surveys, and data capture missions.

• Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Produce, review, and work in accordance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

• Complete mission planning, airspace assessments, and operational documentation.

• Conduct operations in complex and higher-risk environments, including lone-person operations where appropriate.

• Capture high-quality visual, thermal, LiDAR, and other data to support engineering assessments and technical processing.

• Maintain accurate flight records and operational reports.

• Record field activities and project progress using Cyberhawk's operational systems and Field App, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.

• Collaborate closely with pilots, engineers, project managers, planning managers, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

• Liaise professionally with landowners, customers, members of the public, and other stakeholders on site.

• Support the testing and implementation of new equipment, technologies, and operational procedures.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety, operational efficiency, and technical capability within the field team.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Essential

• UK CAA GVC or RPC-L1 qualification.

• Demonstrable experience conducting commercial drone operations within the utilities, energy, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors.

• Experience with DJI Enterprise platforms.

• Strong understanding of UK aviation regulations and operational risk management.

• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions in dynamic environments.

• Experience working to RAMS and operational procedures.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Regular travel throughout the UK is an integral part of this role, with occasional international travel required to support project delivery.

• A proactive, safety-first attitude.

Desirable

• Remote pilot qualifications, licences, or operational authorisations issued by or recognised by aviation authorities outside the UK.

• Knowledge of international UAS regulations, including EASA and other national aviation authority requirements.

• Experience with RTK operations, LiDAR, thermal inspections, and photogrammetry.

• Experience with DJI Flight Hub, DJI Terra, GIS, or similar software.

• GWO Basic Safety Training, MIST, or BOSIET qualifications.

• Experience operating under EVLOS or automated operations.

• First Aid certification.

Additional Details

• Eligibility to live and work in the UK with high fluency in English.

• Passport and full, clean driving licence.

• Ability to access the Cyberhawk Ratho office. Regular attendance will be required during the initial training and onboarding period.

• Undertake any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as reasonably required to support business needs.
