Purpose and Background
Läkarmissionen in Stockholm is looking for an Accountant/bookkeeper to support the Finance Operations function. This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience in advanced accounting who is looking to take the next step in a dynamic, friendly and professional environment.
As an accountant/bookkeeper, you will play a key role in the finance department, working across a broad range of areas including accounting, financial statement preparation, and financial monitoring. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work while collaborating closely with colleagues in both the Finance function and other parts of the organization.

Key areas of responsibility
Duties may vary but include, among other things:
• Day-to-day bookkeeping and account reconciliations in both LM and LM Second Hand.
• Managing accounts payable, payment requisitions connected to donor projects and a small amount of “account receivable.
• Support in Cash flow reports and approval of requisitions.
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet.
• Support Reconciliation of intercompany transactions accounts.
• Support bookkeeping of intercompany transactions.
• Support in Tax filings to Skatteverket related to salaries.
• Support in Reporting and Financial Monitoring.
• Handling accruals and fixed assets.
• Contributing to the streamlining and development of financial processes
• Create a standard operating manual for the bookkeeping function.
• Supporting the LM process of building a “ONELM” finance-function.
Required qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
• Has post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Has 2–4 years of experience in advanced accounting work.
• Has a solid understanding of accounting and financial closing processes.
• Is meticulous, analytical, excellence conscious and structured.
• Has strong Excel skills and is proficient with financial systems preferably Dynamics Finance and Operations.
• Is self-motivated yet enjoys collaboration
• Has good communication skills in English and Swedish (French is a plus).
Merits
• Experience with annual financial statements like K2
• Experience with consolidated accounts
• Knowledge of K3 and/or IFRS standards
• Experience with financial systems such as Dynamics Finance & Operations or similar
• Experience in developing and streamlining financial processes
About the position
• The Accountant/Bookkeeper reports directly to the Director Global Finance Operations.
• Full time
• Location: Global office in Vällingby/Stockholm
• Typ of employment: Permanent position (six-month probationary period).
• Possibility for remote work, 2 days a week, after 6 months.
• Start date by agreement or as soon as possible.
