About this role
Role Purpose
The SEO Manager owns the planning and delivery of omnichannel search strategies that make brands discoverable wherever people now look for answers. That includes traditional organic search, AI assistants and AI generated answers, social platforms, video, and marketplaces.
The role sits at the centre of Greenpark's search and insights delivery. It runs category assessments, AI visibility audits, technical and content optimisation programmes, and ongoing retainer work, and it turns the findings into strategies clients can act on. The SEO Manager works closely with editorial, social, creative, and data teams so that search is built into the wider digital ecosystem rather than added on at the end.
This role reports to the Senior SEO Manager and ultimately to the Head of Omnichannel Search & Insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own Omnichannel Search Strategy and Planning
Define and own search strategies across audits, revamps, category assessments, and monthly optimisation programmes. Plan for discoverability across the full search landscape, covering Google, AI assistants and AI generated answers, social search, video search, and marketplace search. Translate category assessment findings into prioritised roadmaps built around keyword clusters, demand spaces, and opportunity gaps. Balance short term performance wins with the structural work that builds long term authority.
2. Deliver AI Visibility and Generative Search Work
Run AI visibility audits end to end, from scoping and prompt design through to analysis and recommendations. Interpret visibility, share of voice, citation, and sentiment data across AI platforms, and explain clearly what is driving the results. Recommend the changes that improve how brands are retrieved, cited, and described by AI systems, covering content structure, entity clarity, third party presence, and technical readiness. Keep pace with how AI search platforms behave and adjust recommendations as those platforms change.
3. Lead Execution and Optimisation
Oversee technical SEO delivery, including audits, crawl and indexation fixes, site health, and Core Web Vitals improvements. Lead keyword and prompt research, clustering, and the integration of that work into content strategy and production. Manage digital PR, third party presence, and authority building initiatives that support both organic and AI visibility. Ensure recommendations are specific, sequenced, and realistic for client teams to implement.
4. Own Performance, Measurement, and Growth
Monitor and report on search performance across multiple accounts, covering organic KPIs alongside AI visibility and citation metrics. Work with data analysts to validate forecasts, measure impact, and refine roadmaps based on what the results show. Identify why performance moved rather than only reporting that it moved. Respond quickly to algorithm updates, platform changes, and shifts in how people search.
5. Manage Client Delivery and Communication
Act as a day to day lead for assigned accounts, keeping delivery on time and to the expected standard. Present findings and recommendations to clients in a way that connects search work to business outcomes. Manage client questions, feedback, and scope conversations, escalating to senior leadership when needed. Build trust with local and regional stakeholders through clear, proactive communication.
6. Work Across Teams
Work with editorial to embed search and AI visibility insight into content pillars, briefs, and production. Work with social and creative teams to align keyword and audience insight with amplification plans. Work with analytics on measurement design, dashboards, and data quality. Support project managers on scoping, timelines, and resourcing for search workstreams.
7. Contribute to Capability and New Business
