How You Will Serve at Grace:
Position Summary
The Kids Ministry Weekend Coordinator supports the safe, organized, and effective delivery of Kidventure programming during Sunday morning services. This role maintains smooth program flow while ensuring compliance with established safety policies and adult-to-child supervision ratios. Working closely with ministry staff and volunteers, the Kids Ministry Weekend Coordinator helps create a welcoming and well-managed environment that supports children, families, and ministry operations during weekend services.
The expectation is that this position typically works 4 hours per week, which is a Category B position for the church. Category B means the incumbent will work less than 20 regularly scheduled hours per week.
Essential Functions
• Provide active supervision and age-appropriate care for children during Sunday morning services to ensure a safe, welcoming, and structured environment
• Support the smooth flow of Sunday morning programming by checking in children, coordinating classroom placements, and communicating effectively with children, parents, and volunteers, while ensuring classrooms remain in compliance with established adult-to-child supervision ratios and ministry safety policies
• Serve as a point of support for volunteers by responding to needs, addressing questions, and assisting with problem resolution in accordance with ministry procedures
• Respond appropriately to incidents during weekend services, including contacting designated church leadership, emergency services teams, or emergency services when necessary

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Consistently produces work with attention to detail and maintains accurate records
• Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to effectively work with students, families, volunteers, and staff in a ministry environment
• Demonstrated history of sound judgement and effective decision-making, including the ability to handle sensitive student and family situations appropriately
• Current active member of Grace Fellowship, or willingness to become a member and actively support the mission, values, and beliefs of Grace Fellowship
• Desired KSAs
• Proficiency in office software systems such as Planning Center Online (PCO)
• Prior volunteer or work experience in a church or nonprofit setting, preferably in Children's ministry
• CPR/First Aid certification
