We currently have an opening for an Architectural Design Support Representative at our Mountaintop Facility.
Purpose: Provides design support for the architectural and design community, ensuring that the best solution is given to the architect. Proactively reach out to architects that recently used online self-help tools to ensure the best products are specified for the project application. Obtain the maximum information on the project, complete drawings, specifications and facilitate obtaining the bid date so that we maximize our chances of bidding, winning and shipping the project.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
• Reactively respond to architect phone calls and emails.
• Provide design and technical support to architects and designers for both coiling and sectional products, mainly during design phase, but could also be during construction.
• Ask pertinent questions and prescribe the best product for each application, using new products and unique options wherever possible.
• Reach out for help with other more experienced personnel where necessary
• For each interaction, strive to provide a ‘design assist’ – a specification and detailed drawing to enable the architect to use on their project.
• Aim for sole specification, basis of design, design listing in that order.
• Record interactions with architects and designers in the CRM, design assists, construction projects, obtaining as much information as possible to facilitate getting a solid bid date.
• Record in CRM, and feed any outside information back to lead coordinator
• Complete drafting/design work passed to the department from our Product Reps, Complete specifications and other design related inquiries where necessary.
Job Requirements:
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Solid drafting skills (AutoCAD) essential. Revit/BIM experience ideal, (release 2013 or later is essential).
• Knowledge of CCC products, materials, fabrication processes and the Product Engineering process is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) Knowledge of CRM systems an advantage.
• Technical sales, architectural sales, customer service rolling door and sectional/garage door experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of construction plans and ability to read blueprints.
