Position Summary:

The Manager, 340B Operations is responsible for leading the administration, optimization, and compliance oversight of 340B Drug Pricing Program operations across Clearway Health's health system partners. This leader drives operational excellence, ensures regulatory compliance, and maximizes program performance while supporting the organization's mission to improve medication access and patient outcomes.

The Manager, 340B Operations leads the 340B Operations Specialists and serves as a strategic partner to health system clients, pharmacy leadership, compliance teams, finance departments, and operational stakeholders. This role provides oversight of split-billing operations, contract pharmacy administration, audit readiness, reporting, program optimization, and implementation activities while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and client service.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support 340B Operations Specialist and Clearway Health teams in daily 340B program operations across assigned client partners.

• Establish operational priorities and ensure service levels, deliverables, and client expectations are met.

• Monitor program performance and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes of the 340B and specialty pharmacy programs.

• Resolve escalated operational issues and coordinate cross-functional solutions.

• Serve as the subject matter expert for compliance with HRSA regulations, 340B program requirements, and organizational policies.

• Serve as a primary operational contact for health system clients regarding 340B program performance and compliance.

• Lead business reviews and performance discussions with clients.

• Analyze operational and financial performance metrics related to 340B savings, replenishment activity, and inventory management.

• Evaluate trends, risks, and operational opportunities through data analysis.

• Present performance updates and recommendations to leadership and client stakeholders.

• Lead implementation activities for Clearway Health partners specialty pharmacy and contract pharmacy arrangements.

• Develop standardized workflows and best operational practices.

• Identify automation and technology enhancement opportunities.

• Manage and develop a team of 340B Operations Specialists, providing coaching, training, performance management, and career development.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Public Health, Finance, or related field required.

• Master's degree preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:

• Advanced 340B Operations Certification

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare, pharmacy operations, specialty pharmacy, or 340B program experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of people leadership or team management experience.

• Experience supporting multi-site healthcare operations preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required; as well as ability to communicate professionally over the phone.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to provide superb, personalized customer service to instill confidence and advocate for patients; ability to explain required information to customers in a comprehensible manner.

• Organized, strong attention to detail, ability to self-direct through multitasking and prioritizing, dependable, empathetic, focused on quality service, goal oriented.

• Cultural sensitivity, understanding, and comfort with a wide range of social, racial, and ethnic populations.

• Must practice discretion and confidentiality as position deals with extremely sensitive and confidential data.

• Ability to understand, explain, and actively promote the clients' objectives through direct coordination and commitment to the program’s goals.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in the departmental needs (i.e., assisting other team members, adjusting assignments, etc.).

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to quickly learn other relevant applications that support management of patient care and assigned responsibilities; and ability to extract necessary information.

Special Working Conditions (On-call, travel, shift, coverage):

• Clearway Health Specialty Pharmacies, serving patients in hospitals, health systems, and communities, may require employees at client sites to work on company-recognized holidays.

• Up to 5-10% of travel is required.

This information is being provided to promote pay transparency and equal employment opportunities at Clearway Health. The current annual compensation range for this position is $115,000 - $144,000. The actual rate within this range that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive base salary, this role is eligible to participate in the company’s bonus program as part of its comprehensive and rewarding benefits package.
