About this role
Overview Design, develop, and deliver technical solutions utilizing the automation tool PEGA for Branch Operations that align with complex business requirements. Lead technical discovery efforts by partnering with stakeholders to translate functional needs into workflow-driven PEGA application enhancements. Utilize advanced knowledge of the organization's technology infrastructure and specific software applications to guide Branch Operations department through the implementation of enterprise-wide technology changes. Manage existing applications and automations by monitoring system performances and resolve high-priority production issues. Serve as a senior technical advisor and mentor to junior developers.
Responsibilities
Translate business requirements (e.g., needs, objectives, functions, features, input and output) into delivered technical solutions utilizing the automation tool PEGADiagnose and resolve complex production issues through advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and data-driven problem solvingPartner with project teams to plan, coordinate and roll out software change/release to Controlled Testing and Production; obtain required approvals and transition project to productionCollaborate daily with all BACE team members to ensure alignment of priorities, solution design, and delivery timelinesProvide follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement project implementations to ensure timely action, support and achievement of expected benefitsCollaborate with governance team DPA, the business units Branch Operations, and other ETS partners in problem resolution effortsWork in partnership with key business stakeholders in the development and delivery of technical solutionsPromote transparency of work through consistent updates, knowledge sharing, and active participation in Agile ceremonies and technical discussionsUtilize Navy Federal approved software development tools and software applications to design, develop, implement and maintain low code or no code business solutions that align with business initiatives and corporate strategiesCreate and maintain accurate, detailed and consistent documentation thru all phases of the Systems Development Life-CycleContribute knowledge management articles for created solutions to designated Center of Excellence enterprise asset management repositoryContinuously evaluate existing PEGA applications to identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and improved user experience.Interpret results of analysis; present technical solution recommendations, alternatives and implicationsApply and communicate changes and new trends in systems/technologyAnalyze, define and document technical design for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating systems environment, interface with other systems, internal and external controls and outputIdentify and communicate key responsibilities and practices, evaluate results, and provide leadership and guidance to ensure successful implementation of business unit projectsPerform annual recertification on Navy Federal standards as they relate to the platformDevelop, recommend and document adjustments to workflow to streamline processesPartner with other business units and vendors to improve procedures, resolve problems, and implement initiatives; present conclusions and recommendations to managementDevelop and oversee project plans and roadmaps that outline preventative and corrective actions necessary to remediate control deficiencies, maximize effectiveness and mitigate future exposureLead, guide and mentor Business Solutions Developer I's, II's & III'sPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experienceExpert knowledge of software development best practices in accordance with the Automation Center of Excellence guardrail document or Information Technology Infrastructure LibraryExtensive experience working with application development platforms (e.g., Pega, Maven, JAVA, etc.)Extensive experience in programming with "low-code" or "no code" software applicationsExtensive experience in developing and testing softwareExtensive experience demonstrating the ability to research, compile, and document program procedures and processes related to production support and maintenance Ability to analyze technical issues to recommend, develop and/or implement strategies and achieve objectivesExtensive experience in communicating complex technical issues to non-technical audiencesExtensive experience in problem resolution including determining root cause, scope and scale of issuesExtensive experience in leading collaborative work teamsExtensive experience in leading projects and/or initiatives large in scopeExtensive experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goalsParticipate in mandatory Navy Federal standards and policy training, including information security, testing, knowledge management, records information management and enterprise Architecture Review Board standardsSuccessfully complete required training, assessments and certifications to learn core principles of the citizen development application development platformsAdvanced skills resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirementsExpert research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExpert skill interpreting and synthesizing large amounts of informationExpert skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulationsExpert skill identifying and analyzing business requirements and recommending solutionsExpert organizational, planning and time management skillsExpert verbal, interpersonal and written communication skillsExpert database, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software skills Desired Qualifications
