Description

Apple is looking for a world-class talent panel design engineer to design, develop and launch

the next-generation display technologies for Apple products. The panel design team is

responsible for delivering the advanced panel designs and technologies to enable the world's

best display performance in Apple Products. Each Individual will serve as a focal point in

architecting and developing the total pixel and panel designs. This includes Thin-Film Transistor

(TFT) & Organic Light Emission Diode (OLED) device modeling, electro-optical simulation, TFT

integrated circuit design, panel architecture, and whole panel function simulation.

Responsibilities:

Panel architecture scoping and definition

TFT and OLED device modeling, simulation and characteristics measurement

Pixel and panel design, layout and parasitic parameter extraction

Pixel and panel modeling, characterization, and validation

TFT integrated circuit design, simulation and validation

Failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving

New TFT and display technologies exploration, investigation, and validation

Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including TFT process, Display Optics, OLED process, Reliability, Display EE, and Mechanical Engineering

Collaborate with external vendors for display manufacturing

International business travel to support project implementation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing, designing and manufacturing high volume display products

Experience in characterizing panel optical and electrical performance

Experience in Verilog A behavior modeling

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. or M.S degree degree in Electrical Engineering, or B.S degree in Electrical Engineering plus 4 years TFT industry experience

Hands-on experience, in-depth technical knowledge, and proven track record in the design and development for displays or related electronics.

Understanding the basic TFT and panel process

Understanding the basic OLED electro-optical characteristics

Ability to perform computer modeling and simulation with SPICE

Ability to perform pixel layout and parasitic RC extraction

Experience in measuring and characterizing TFT devices

Experience in TFT integrated circuit design

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
