Join a Global Leader in Digital Infrastructure
We are looking for a hands-on Facility Engineer to join our new SG6 site in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy troubleshooting electrical or mechanical systems and want to build a long-term career in a critical infrastructure environment.
What You'll Do
As a Facility Engineer, you will help ensure the safe and reliable operation of building infrastructure and support systems.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance checks on facility equipment and systemsConduct routine repairs, maintenance and installationsMonitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and respond to alarmsSupport troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activitiesAssist with the operation of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and safety systemsEscalate and support resolution of facility issues and incidents Vendor & Site Support
Coordinate with external service providers and contractorsSupport maintenance activities and ensure work is completed safelyReview and follow maintenance procedures and work permitsMaintain site logs and operational documentation Projects & Collaboration
Complete work orders and support infrastructure projectsAssist senior engineers with facility upgrades and incident responseCollaborate with team members to maintain site reliability and uptime What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical disciplineInternship experience or 1+ years of hands-on experience maintaining electrical or mechanical equipmentExperience gained in facilities such as:HospitalsCommercial buildingsShopping mallsManufacturing facilitiesAirportsIndustrial plantsFacilities management environmentsStrong interest in troubleshooting and fixing equipment issuesComfortable working in a hands-on operational environmentAble to work rotating 12-hour shifts (including nights, weekends and public holidays)Must have unrestricted working rights in Singapore (Singapore Citizen, PR, or other valid work authorization that does not require sponsorship)Able to work on-site at SG6 (Jalan Tukang area) Nice to Have
Exposure to electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, HVAC, chillers or mechanical systemsExperience using Building Management Systems (BMS)Understanding of safety procedures and permit-to-work processes Why Join Equinix?
