We are looking for a talented Business Development Manager - Marine to join our team specializing in Sales for our Marine Department at Cummins Norway .
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in high-potential markets to drive growthBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers across different levelsUnderstand customer needs and offer tailored Cummins solutions (standard and customized)Effectively position Cummins products against competitors to win businessNegotiate deals in line with company guidelines while achieving revenue and profit targetsCollaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., engineering, supply chain, finance) to meet customer requirementsTrack sales performance through CRM systems, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline managementSupport and develop the team by mentoring, coaching, and identifying opportunities for improvement To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Strong commercial mindset combined with the ability to build and maintain effective customer relationshipsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey messages to different audiences using various methodsAbility to collaborate across functions and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersProactive and solution-oriented approach, with a focus on understanding customer needs and driving business results Education/ Experience:
Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceFluent in Norwegian as a primary or second language is preferredProven experience in business development, account management, or customer/order lifecycle managementExperience in the marine market is preferredFamiliarity with CRM systems and SAP or other order management tools is an advantage Job Sales
