About this role

Job Summary:

Assist with general workshop activities while completing on the job and classroom based training.

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician - TAP to join our Distribution business in (Omaha, NE).

Will make an impact in the following ways:

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnosticsRequires direct supervision and review of workmanship qualityDemonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software TAP Training

This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.A current valid license is required for this roleMust be 18 years old with 2 years driving experienceThis role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Secondary school diploma or equivalent

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Minimal level of work shop experience required or basic level knowledge of engine products

Basic mechanical knowledge

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
