About this role

Join a collaborative finance control team that is responsible for financial oversight of their legal entity and is tasked with ensuring that a strong control environment exists as it relates to all businesses, products and operational areas that impact the Legal Entity financials and regulatory reporting of the firm

As an Associate within the Legal Entity Control team, you will provide an opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders while learning legal entity controllership end-to-end. The Associate will liaise with the line of business finance teams, operations, and the Legal Entity Controller community to drive the Legal Entity agenda.

Job responsibilities:

Perform Legal Entity accounting & control on a monthly basis, including month-end close process, parent/child accounting, equity pick up, review of inter-entity breaks, and unnatural general ledger balance monitoringConduct Month-End analytical review of the legal entity to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial statements and preparation of various reports, including contributions to the Monthly Controller's Book, as well as Legal Entity and line of business financial commentary and regulatory reporting requirementsInvestigate, analyze and resolve issues and response to ad-hoc queriesAssist in the Booking Model review and on-going Legal Entity Control Standard compliance monitoringControl Intercompany Activity including variance commentaryMonitor the G/L including consolidation and nettingParticipate in Firmwide legal entity reporting projects including infrastructure and process improvement efforts and other Controller initiatives as needed Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field3+ years finance/accounting - related experienceStrong accounting and analytical acumen, with ability to understand, produce and explain income statement and balance sheet content and variancesOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to prepare executive level presentationsAbility to work effectively with others, as well as act as an effective liaison with all business partners within the lines of business or legal entity chainsStrong initiative and work ethic, superior attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, with an ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environmentAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

CPA is a plus
