Was Sie erwartet: Data Engineering & Data Modeling Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models in Snowflake Build and optimize complex SQL transformations using dbt Develop robust ELT pipelines to ingest, harmonize, and enrich SAP procurement data Create reusable semantic and reporting layers for analytics and AI consumption Implement data quality frameworks, validation rules, and reconciliation processes Translate business requirements into efficient and scalable technical solutions SAP Procurement Data Expertise Analyze and model procurement processes based on SAP MM data structures Develop extraction and transformation logic across key SAP procurement entities Ensure accurate interpretation of sourcing, purchasing, contract, vendor, material, and purchasing organization data Support migration and harmonization initiatives across SAP ERP and S/4HANA landscapes Collaborate closely with procurement subject matter experts to ensure technical and functional data integrity SQL Development & Performance Optimization Develop complex SQL queries, procedures, and transformation logic Analyze execution plans and resolve performance bottlenecks Optimize data models, joins, clustering strategies, and Snowflake warehouse utilization Improve runtime performance of data pipelines and reporting workloads Establish and promote best practices for scalable Snowflake development Data Delivery for AI Solutions Deliver high-quality, AI-ready datasets for backend AI services Define interfaces and data contracts with AI Backend Engineers Support feature engineering and data preparation activities Ensure completeness, consistency, and traceability of datasets used by AI applications Collaborate on retrieval, enrichment, and contextual data services enabling Agentic AI solutions Data Governance & Quality Implement monitoring solutions and proactive quality controls Design validation frameworks for master and transactional data Support auditability, data lineage, and governance requirements Ensure compliance with internal security, governance, and data management standards Document data models, transformation logic, and business rules Collaboration & Technical Leadership Work closely with AI Backend Engineers, Procurement Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Cloud Engineers Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers Participate in architecture reviews and solution design discussions Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement initiatives Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and operational excellence activities Was Sie mitbringen: Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field Professional Experience 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related disciplines Proven experience working with enterprise-scale procurement, supply chain, or ERP data Experience supporting business-critical analytics and data platforms Technical Skills Data Platforms & Engineering Expert-level experience with Snowflake Strong hands-on experience with dbt Expert-level SQL development skills Deep understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling Experience with ELT/ETL frameworks and modern data engineering practices SAP Procurement Knowledge Strong understanding of SAP MM processes and data structures, including: Purchase Requisitions Purchase Orders Contracts Purchase Info Records (PIRs) Source Lists Quota Arrangements Materials Vendors Pricing Conditions Purchasing Organizations Performance Engineering SQL performance tuning Query optimization Data model optimization Workload analysis Snowflake warehouse performance management Cost optimization Data Quality & Governance Data validation frameworks Reconciliation processes Metadata management Data lineage Root cause analysis Preferred Qualifications Python Snowpark Git / GitLab CI/CD pipelines REST APIs AWS or Azure cloud platforms Power BI, Qlik, or similar analytics and reporting tools Personal Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Ability to work independently and challenge existing designs constructively Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Passion for modern data technologies and continuous improvement Comfortable working in international, cross-functional teams Language Skills Fluent English (mandatory) German skills are considered an advantage Im Rahmen der Arbeitnehmerüberlassung suchen wir für einen namhaften Kunden einen erfahrenen Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d) .
