GardaWorld's Toronto branch is currently hiring a Human Resources Coordinator for our Security Services business line. The successful candidate will support day-to-day Human Resources operations, including employee relations, labour relations administration, investigations, employee retention initiatives, and HR administrative functions. This role works closely with the HR Business Partners and Advisors, operational leaders, and union representatives to provide exceptional support to employees and management while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Assist with employee relations and labour relations activities, including investigations, employee meetings, and documentation. Support management with the administration of the Collective Agreement, including seniority inquiries, job postings, and employee documentation. Prepare employment-related correspondence, including employment verification letters, disciplinary letters, and other HR documentation. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, databases, and tracking spreadsheets. Assist with grievance resolution meetings, arbitrations, and follow-up action items as required. Support employee retention initiatives and help maintain active and inactive employee records. Respond to inquiries from employees, managers, and union representatives in a professional and timely manner. Assist with research, reporting, and the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. Perform related duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. Will be required to work on-site at the Toronto branch five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday. You are the ideal candidate for this position because you possess: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources administration, coordination, employee relations, or a related role. Experience working in a unionized environment and familiarity with collective agreements is considered an asset. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of employment standards, workplace legislation, HR policies, and HR best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information. Strong attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills. A collaborative approach with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
