Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. This full-time role is integral to ensuring efficient material handling and inventory management within our warehouse operations. Primary Duties Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles while ensuring proper placement and securing of goods. Process orders accurately and maintain detailed records of inventory movements and stock levels using warehouse management systems. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational safety and report any mechanical issues promptly. Collaborate effectively with warehouse team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily processing targets. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries. Assist in inventory audits and support stock replenishment activities as required. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment, demonstrating safe and efficient handling of materials. Solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and operational standards. Ability to read and interpret order sheets, product labels, and inventory data accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and management. Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and schedules. Knowledge of warehouse management software or inventory control systems is advantageous. Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience of at least 1 year operating forklifts is highly valued. Certification or licensing for forklift operation is often required depending on local regulations. The US base rate for this full-time position is 20.75. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
