Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, and more. Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. What You Will Do Responsible for the business ownership, governance, optimization, and operational effectiveness of Freeport-McMoRan's enterprise learning technology ecosystem. This role ensures learning technologies, learning operations, and supporting business processes effectively enable workforce capability, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and employee development across the organization. The position partners with HRS, Information Technology, Talent Management, Talent Development, site training teams, and external vendors to define how learning technologies are utilized to meet business requirements and workforce development objectives. Serve as business owner for enterprise learning technologies and learning operations, establishing governance standards, policies, business rules, workflows, and operating procedures. Define and maintain the learning technology strategy and roadmap, prioritizing system enhancements based on business value and workforce needs. Ensure consistent enterprise-wide learning administration practices and represent business requirements in partnership with HRS, IT, and external vendors. Lead governance forums and establish operational standards for curriculum management, learner administration, certifications, qualifications, and compliance tracking. Oversee enterprise learning administration processes and develop scalable business processes that support workforce development, efficiency, and automation. Maintain process documentation, job aids, administration standards, and governance procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and business requirements. Provide functional oversight of SuccessFactors Learning, Xyleme, and other learning technologies, including system configuration, business rules, testing, validation, and upgrade activities. Monitor system performance, adoption, utilization, and business effectiveness, serving as the senior escalation point for complex learning technology issues. Collaborate with HRS and IT to resolve technical issues, optimize platform capabilities, and support the implementation and adoption of new learning technologies. Manage vendor relationships, participate in vendor selection and contract evaluations, monitor service delivery, and assess emerging technologies to enhance the learning ecosystem. Define reporting requirements and data governance standards for learning, compliance, qualifications, certifications, and workforce readiness. Partner with HR Analytics and HRS teams to develop dashboards, scorecards, and business insights, providing analysis that supports operational and strategic workforce decisions. What You Bring To Freeport Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of experience in learning technology, learning operations, HR technology, business systems, workforce development, talent development, or a closely related field; OR High School diploma/GED and ten (10) years of experience in learning technology, learning operations, HR technology, business systems, workforce development, talent development, or a closely related field. Experience supporting enterprise learning technologies, HR technologies, or business systems. Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors. Experience developing operational processes, governance frameworks, reporting solutions, and business requirements Knowledge of learning technology governance, learning operations, and business process design. Ability to define business requirements, operational standards, workflows, and reporting needs. Ability to partner effectively with HRS, IT, Talent Management, Talent Development, site training teams, and external vendors. Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications SuccessFactors Learning experience. Xyleme experience. Learning technology governance experience. Vendor management experience. Data analytics and reporting experience. Experience supporting workforce development, talent management, or learning operations. Knowledge of enterprise learning ecosystems, content management platforms, assessment technologies, and integrated learning solutions. Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that support workforce development and operational readiness. What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $97,500 - $138,000 . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
