Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. Scope of Position The Marketing Analytics Intern will gain hands-on experience using data and analytics to support marketing strategy, optimize performance, and drive business decision-making. Working closely with Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, and Application Marketing teams, the intern will help define, gather, analyze, and visualize data that delivers actionable insights across the organization. The intern will support reporting, dashboard development, data quality initiatives, and performance measurement across multiple marketing channels. Through collaboration with marketing professionals and business stakeholders, they will gain practical experience with KPI tracking, data storytelling, and marketing analytics while developing an understanding of how data is used to improve the customer journey and marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a curious and analytical problem solver who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and translating information into meaningful business insights. Strong verbal/written skills and excellent interpersonal and phone skills to communicate effectively with external and internal customers. Proven analytical, organizational, and process skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience with data analytics software (i,e Power BI, Tableau, etc) Meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency with MS Office Tools. Experience with digital platforms such as a Social Media Management Platform, Marketing Automation Platform & a Content Management Platform is a plus. Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2027 or later Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity. Be willing to work at the posted job location Key Responsibilities Assist in data monitoring, maintenance, quality assurance and report/dashboard creation across many different marketing and media data sources. Perform ad hoc data analysis, research, and QA as required to ensure data integrity and resolve existing or potential data issues. Collaborate with regional marketing and digital marketing teams to measure campaigns across multiple channels. Gather and present campaign results to digital marketing and regional marketing teams. Provide information around best practices for each channel based on the analysis of the data. Provide data for any requests that supports Marketing’s KPIs. Support process optimization efforts as needed across the department. Participate in activities/events which will help build a strong network within Corning and gain knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry. Present an end of summer presentation to the Marketing Leadership Team reviewing projects executed. This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
