About this role

The Thin Film Operator (Assembler) will perform multiple Thin Film operations including but not limited to cleaning, lapping, laser drilling, sputtering, and kitting of substrates. The role involves rotating between multiple operations at defined schedules and includes the use of machines, wet benches, microscopes, and hand tools.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning and lapping of Thin Film substrates. Deburring includes using sandpaper, brushes, and hand tools to clean substrate surfaces and edges. • Perform laser drilling of substrates. • Perform sputtering of substrates. • Perform kitting of substrates using vacuum wands and tweezers. • Perform other tasks based on supervisor request. • Inspections and certain steps are performed under a microscope. • Maintain logs, fill out operation sheets, and input data into databases. • Understand and follow assembly drawings, written, and verbal work instructions. • Do basic math and apply it to specifications. • Identify and communicate when substrates and processes do not meet specifications.

Shift – Mon- Fri (5am- 1:30pm) Pay Transparency

The hourly pay range for this position is $26.15 - $32.70. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. • Minimum (2) years of manufacturing experience. • Ability to use small hand-tools such as tweezers and microscope • Basic computer skills for time charging and filling out electronic logs. • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws.
