Supervises day to day HIM department operations with emphasis on quality and integrity of patient information, clerical functions, problem resolution, workflow design, and personnel management as support to HIM Director.

• Supervised daily Health Information Management (HIM) department operations, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with organizational standards. • Maintained the quality, accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of patient health information and medical records. • Designed and optimized departmental workflows to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. • Resolved HIM-related operational issues and implemented solutions to support continuous departmental performance. • Led and managed HIM staff through scheduling, training, performance oversight, and day-to-day personnel support while assisting the HIM Director in achieving departmental objectives. • Performs related duties as required.

Required:

• Education: Associate degree in Science of Medical Record Administration through an AHIMA accredited program. • Experience: Three years management experience for an HIM department in an acute care setting. • Certification/License: RHIA or RHIT credentialed in good standing with the American Health Information Management Association [AHIMA].
