Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Hours: 9:30pm-8am; variable hours (4-10 hour shifts) rotating weekends and holidays
Essential Functions:
• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift • Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities • Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday • Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment
• Data entry and answering phones. • Process specimens for laboratory analysis. • Process specimens for laboratory analysis. Plates specimens for microbiology testing. • May perform initial phases of testing. • Works alongside technologists assisting produce patient results. • Sorting incoming specimens, prioritizing and immediately processing STAT and other critical tests. • Must be able to work in two computer systems proficiently.
Required Knowledge: Must have good computer skills. Demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Required Experience: High School Diploma or higher, Lab experience is desired.
Special Requirements:
• Must have the ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times. • Must be available for scheduled vacation and emergency coverage as needed. • Must be available to rotate weekend shifts.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour • Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits • Able to sit or stand for long periods • Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a production environment
