Be part of the Honeywell UOP Process Information and Control (PIC) team responsible for Control System solutions supporting UOP Process Technologies. As a Senior Advanced PIC Project Engineer, you will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination throughout a Control System projects point of sale through successful delivery.
You will report directly to our Honeywell UOP PIC group located in Des Plaines, IL, on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the company's success by ensuring the successful execution and delivery of complex engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the technical portion of PIC control System projects from initiation to completion • Define PIC project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders • Regular Communication with PIC end-users including coordination meeting, project status reports and hosting Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) • Develop and implement project plans with timelines for deliverables • Develop, implement and maintain Quality plans for Control System Testing and Work Process adherence (ISO 9001 Certification) • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success • Identify and mitigate risks, barriers and issues that may impact project delivery • Provide technical guidance, mentorship and support to junior project team members
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Electrical, preferably) • 7+ years of experience leading complex engineering projects through the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of technical, schedule, and budget objectives. • 5+ years of experience managing project risks, solving technical and operational challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in fast-paced environments. • 7+ years of technical experience in Process Instrumentation & Control (PIC), automation, or a related engineering discipline, with proficiency in project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
