As a ISC Jr Supervisor at Honeywell, you will lead and coordinate a team to achieve operational excellence and deliver high-quality results within the Building Automation sector. You will play a key role in driving team performance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
You will report directly to the management team and work on-site at our Juarez, Chihuahua location.
In this role, you will contribute to the success of Honeywell by leading your team to achieve production and project goals, improve processes, and support the growth and innovation of the Building Management Systems (BMS) business.
• Perform assigned duties according to established Standard Work.
• Carry out any other job-related activities assigned by the immediate supervisor.
• Participate in the development and maintenance activities of the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) throughout all phases.
• Participate in daily management meetings at different production levels as part of HOS, responding effectively and promptly to issues within their area of responsibility.
• Coordinate and promote 5S activities within the assigned work area.
• Execute and ensure compliance with Standard Work (sequence, content, timing, quality, and safety) by all direct reports.
• Approve Standard Work changes in coordination with supporting departments, including Engineering, Materials, HSE, Quality, and Human Resources.
• Ensure execution and 100% compliance with the production plan.
• Coordinate efforts to maintain shop floor inventory accuracy (IRA) above 98% while preventing excess inventory.
• Provide immediate support to employees regarding deviations from Standard Work.
• Ensure team compliance with company disciplinary policies and procedures.
• Coordinate achievement of monthly safety observation goals.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to established quality standards.
• Lead and coordinate problem-solving activities using tools such as RPS, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, Histograms, and the 5 Whys methodology.
• Manage personnel requisitions in the system as authorized by the department manager.
• Lead manufacturing training for new hires and coordinate cross-training activities across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure training matrices are updated on a monthly basis.
• Maintain and update production boards for all production lines or cells under responsibility.
• Prepare and update production reports.
• Own and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned production cells/lines, including:
• Safety
• Standard Work Adherence
• Production Schedule Attainment
• Pieces per Hour
• Absenteeism and Turnover
• Quality Defects
• Direct Labor Efficiency (DLE)
• Past Due Orders
• Scrap
• First Pass Yield (FPY)
• Participate in Kaizen events and implement/document Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Currently pursuing the final semesters of an Engineering degree or recently graduated in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • Experience in leadership roles managing teams within a technical or operational environment. • Strong knowledge of building management systems and related technologies. • Proficiency with relevant tools and software used in building automation and control systems. • Ability to drive process improvements and manage project timelines effectively. • SAP Knowledge. • Basic knowledge of reporting tools such as Microsoft Office or similar.
