The opportunity BCH’s Human Resources department has an opportunity for a co-op student to gain hands-on experience in Workforce Development (WFD). Our team addresses workforce needs by promoting career growth, fostering community engagement, and providing pathways and support for healthcare career development. This role is hybrid, with on-site requirements that flex based on departmental needs and scheduled activities. Our team is located at 401 Park Drive (Landmark Center). What you’ll do Primary focus: COACH (Community, Opportunities, and Advancement at Children’s Hospital) Internship Program COACH program planning January - May
• Collect and track manager requests for COACH interns; prepare requisitions for approval and posting
• Conduct virtual student interviews (high school and college)
• Assist with project planning for the summer 2027 COACH program
• Assist with program logistics, including confirming room reservations, coordinating speakers, preparing presentation materials, and supporting the end-of-program poster session
• Manage the COACH inbox and respond to inquiries professionally and promptly
Additional responsibilities
• Learn our employee intake system and provide triage support
• Support recruitment of Workforce Development programs
• Monitor additional Workforce Development inboxes
• Flex to department needs as they arise
• Provide support to other HR departments, as requested and time allows

Who you are
• You are concentrating in Human Resources Management or have demonstrated strong interest in HR
• You can articulate why you are interested in this role and how it aligns to your growth and development
• Your organizational skills allow you to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
• Written and verbal communication is a strength, and you are professional with all audiences
• You are approachable and have a track record of building positive and productive relationships
• Details do not go unnoticed because of your strong attention to detail
• You are adaptable and can shift as the circumstances change
• Technology is your friend, and you can learn new systems and processes
• You approach all interactions work with a growth mindset and equity, diversity, and inclusion lens
• This would be your 2nd or 3rd co-op, preferably, though strong first-time co-op students who meet the required skills will also be considered
