Job Description: Process Engineer (m/f/d) Main Responsibilities General
• Support the relevant Department Manager, as instructed by the Plant Manager, in compliance with guidelines and written instructions relating to production processes and procedures, while observing all applicable safety, quality, energy, and environmental requirements. • Support Plant and Department Management with activities including maintaining production figures and customs data, ordering operating supplies, and production planning. • Conduct audits, site inspections, and operational inspections in accordance with management system requirements. • Conduct and support hazard assessments and risk analyses for activities, projects, and equipment within the area of responsibility. • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of procedures and work instructions in PolicyTech, taking into account safety, TPS, quality, energy, and environmental requirements. • Participate in the continuous improvement process. Production and Equipment
• Plan and install new equipment and plant components with the aim of: • Optimising equipment and processes in terms of safety, quality, environmental performance, TPS, production efficiency, and equipment availability. • Optimising instrumentation, control, and automation systems in coordination with the supervisor. • Reducing costs, energy consumption, and chemical usage.
• Create and update technical equipment documentation, including P&IDs, data sheets, and other technical documentation, in cooperation with Technical Drafting and Maintenance teams. • Prepare and, where required, coordinate shutdown lists and shutdown planning, providing input to the Maintenance/Work Planner. • Organise maintenance and servicing activities in coordination with the supervisor. • Ensure that identified defects are corrected promptly or immediately reported to the supervisor. • Monitor the timely maintenance and inspection of equipment by external companies and/or authorities, where specifically assigned or instructed. • Support and supervise external contractors and workshops operating within the area of responsibility, particularly in connection with assigned projects. • Conduct instructions, training, and educational sessions as directed by the supervisor. Responsibilities and Authority
• Authorised, in coordination with the supervisor, to shut down equipment and stop product loading operations in hazardous situations or whenever safety, quality, environmental protection, and/or smooth production operations cannot be guaranteed. • Responsible for the professional, accurate, and diligent execution of assigned duties. • Immediately inform/report to the supervisor whenever: • Safety, quality, or the environment is at risk. • Product specifications cannot be met. • Other urgent situations arise, such as near misses, property damage, pest infestation, or similar incidents.
• Ensure occupational safety by monitoring compliance with safety regulations, reviewing work processes and equipment through site inspections, and monitoring deadlines for mandatory safety inspections. • Promote safety, quality, and environmental awareness among colleagues through discussions and training. • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, environmental, and energy requirements within the area of responsibility, including compliance by external contractors and workshops. • Supervise construction and installation activities within the area of responsibility.
: Requirements Technical / Professional Qualifications
• Completed engineering degree, preferably in: • Process Engineering • Chemical Engineering / Chemistry • Automation Engineering • Or a comparable discipline
• Strong technical understanding, including knowledge of DIN and ISO standards, technical documentation, engineering drawings, etc. Languages & IT Skills
• German: C1 level / professional working proficiency. • English: B2 level / good working proficiency. • Strong PC skills, including confident use of standard office applications such as Microsoft Office. Competencies
