Your Role An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse, Packing & Production Operative (day shift) based in Corby, Northamptonshire. This is a multi-skilled role supporting the Warehouse, Packing, and Production operations at the Corby Mill. The position offers a varied workload and involves preparing manually added raw materials, including accurately weighing and tipping ingredients, as well as safely operating packing carousels, palletisers, and automatic shrink-wrap machinery. The role also includes general manual handling duties and warehouse responsibilities such as operating forklift trucks safely, picking customer orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, cleaning, and hygiene. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 16:00.
Your Responsibilities Production • Prepare manually added raw materials by accurately weighing and tipping ingredients into production processes. • Lab testing of production samples to ensure quality standards. • Complete and maintain production food safety checks, documentation and records to ensure compliance. • Support production changeovers and cleaning activities. Packing • Safely operate packing carousels, conveyor lines and automatic palletisers. • Monitor equipment performance and report any faults or maintenance requirements. • Ensure products are packed correctly, labelled accurately and meet quality standards. • Complete and maintain production food safety checks, documentation and records to ensure compliance. • Ensure all food safety, hygiene and quality procedures are followed where applicable. Warehouse • Safely operate forklift trucks (Counterbalance). • Pick and prepare customer orders for dispatch. • Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. • Receive, inspect and store incoming goods into the correct locations. • Carry out stock movements and stock checks as required. • Assist with inventory accuracy and stock rotation. General Duties • Undertake manual handling activities in accordance with safe working practices. • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across production and warehouse areas. • Support colleagues across departments to meet operational priorities. • Report equipment defects, product quality issues or safety concerns promptly. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Your Profile • Good level of numeracy and literacy. • Ability to work accurately and follow written procedures. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Flexible approach with the ability to work across multiple departments. • Understanding of manual handling techniques and able to lift up to 25kg. • Basic IT skills for completing production or warehouse records. • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck License (desirable). • Previous experience within a manufacturing, warehouse or food production environment (desirable).
