Material Handler III
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Material Handler III who will have the following responsibilities: • Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving • Opens containers using hand tools: counts, weighs and samples materials and uses computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and recording information • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, multi-level racks, conveyors, and machines by hand Loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand • Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices: stacks or assembles materials: aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist • Expert in Deltek Costpoint ERP system to iclude analysis and execution of inventory transactions and kitting and issuing of avionics parts.
Required Skills and Education: • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or material handling within a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Systems Expertise: Proven expert-level proficiency in Deltek Costpoint ERP, specifically regarding the analysis and execution of inventory transactions, kitting processes, and the issuing of avionics components. Technical Skills & Certifications
• Equipment Operation: Certified (or able to be certified) in the operation of forklifts, electric dollies, and power hoists. Proficiency with manual handling equipment including hand trucks and wheelbarrows. • Inventory Management: Skilled in utilizing computer systems for real-time tracking, logging, verifying, and recording material movements. • Tool Proficiency: Competent in the use of hand tools for opening containers and the use of industrial scales for weighing and sampling materials.
