Build your future at BAE Systems. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist your primary role will be to support the Trade School Partnership Program. You will be expected to assist in the coordination of full-cycle recruiting, build dependable skilled trades candidate pipelines, utilize social media for content creation, create and maintain various databases and reports.
In this full-time remote position, you will be supporting the Platforms & Services (P&S) Trade School Partnership Program and occasionally assisting with other duties within the Outreach Team. You will work directly with candidates, talent acquisition leaders, hiring managers, trade school career services personnel, and others internal and external to our function. This position will require you to travel for various job duties and to several locations nationwide including to Platforms & Services (P&S) sites, universities, colleges, and trade schools.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will: • Assist in the coordination of full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, analytics, and hiring events • Develop and maintain skilled trades candidate pipelines • Work alongside various members of a dynamic Talent Acquisition Outreach Team • Support the skilled trades recruiting pipeline, which includes assisting with resource status and needs, recruiting events and sourcing activities • Maintain accurate records and reports working within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS tools • Partner with team members to solve important business challenges • Participate in the preparation and attendance of trade school events which include virtual and in-person information sessions and hiring events • Assist selected candidates in all phases of the onboarding process, create and send ad hoc and standardized email communications, and follow up with candidates experiencing onboarding challenges • Work with Skilled Trades Partners on scheduling conflicts, documentation requests, employment verifications • Create and update presentations for senior leadership, trade school partners, and team meetings • Work with vendors to create, order, ship giveaways for career fairs and hiring events • Assist marketing teams to create and update online recruiting tools • Additional duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education: • Solid computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) • Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include the ability to prepare professional business letters and memorandums • Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently under deadlines • Ability to perform entry-level human resources functions • Problem solving acuity • Sound professional judgment, business acumen, attention to detail, ability to plan and organize
