Job summary
This role offers you the opportunity to join NUH as a Trust Grade CT doctor in Plastic Surgery on a fixed term basis. To be considered for a CT position a completed 2024 CREST form must be submitted to the recruitment team as evidence that F2 competencies completed.

Main duties of the job
This posts provide ideal opportunities for you if you wish to gain more experience & exposure in Plastic Surgery prior to an application to a national training programme The main induction days cover: History of the NHS, developing portfolios, Intro to UK practice (GMC), Chaplaincy, Legal requirements after death, Freedom to speak up, People Inclusion Team (PINC), Sepsis and NEWS2 and Breaking bad news. External speakers from the British Medical Association (BMA) and the Medical Defence Union (MDU) are also in attendance.

Job description Job responsibilities
This is a service post, so does not have educational approval but you will be provided with excellent training and educational prospects, tailored to meet your individual needs. Where service provision allows, you are encouraged to attend educational teaching sessions. The Postgraduate education team will also facilitate access to/ a log in for the HORUS e-Portfolio system, which is free of charge. There will also be an opportunity for you to contribute to audit and QIPs.

oMBBS or equivalent oGMC Registration with licence to practice oIELTS score minimum 7.5 with no individual area going under 7.5 or minimum Grade B in all four sub tests of the Occupational English Test

oMRCS Part 1 oMRCS Part 2 oIELTS core minimum 8 oFull ALS/ATLS Certification
Experience Essential
oGood and wide ranging recent experience of clinical medicine in a large acute inpatient hospital setting oAt least TWO full years post graduate clinical experience equivalent to foundation training oCapacity to apply sound clinical knowledge and judgement oPotential to develop excellent diagnostic skills oExperience of Working out of hours rota's, including shifts at night and weekends oNHS SHO experience of four months or more
