looking for a salaried GP for 4-6 sessions per week
Oldham Family Practice is a well-established practice serving a weighted list population of around 4,200 patients based within the Oldham Central locality. At Oldham Family Practice we are seeking to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive team for 6 sessions a week. We are practice with a strong ethos of continuity of patient care, teamwork and peer support working in areas of high deprivation committed to tackling health inequalities.
We have both face-to-face and on-line clinics, as well as home visits, same day care and routine appointments. Our GPs have admin time structured into the working day. Our appointment requests are managed via a structured total triage model, primarily managed by a dedicated clinician with administration support. We are a registered training practice that hosts,nurse psychology and GP trainees.

Job description Job responsibilities
Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, additional and enhanced services where appropriate.
Provide other personal medical services to meet identified patients need.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare professionals within the organisation.
Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice; disease management protocols, provide counselling and health education.
Work within current ICB policy for prescribing.

Qualifications Essential
Qualifications Registration and Certification: Be included in NHS England list of medical practitioners as per section 91 of the NHS Act 2006. Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register. UK Registration Applicants must have current UK professional registration. Experience Essential
Eager to learn and grow in healthcare environment. Strong clinical skills with an evidence-based approach to patient care. Proficient in using electronic health records and embracing new technologies. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Passionate about technology and improving healthcare outcomes. Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
Desirable
Proven ability to handle a primary care case load Experience conducting 8 week baby checks. Preferably a qualified trainer.
