In your role as finance officer, you will work with the Head of Finance to provide finance support and advice to colleagues across the hospice, ensuring we make the most of every penny we raise.
Your attention to detail and technical expertise is essential to maintain high standards of financial integrity at the hospice.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we focus on developing our financial systems and processes, making the most of the technology on offer. As finance officer you will have a key role to play in making these changes.
Youll also be joining a vibrant, committed and driven team who get to see, first-hand, the impact the hospice has on people living in Wigan and Leigh and how we make a difference.
Salary: £32,073-£39,043 per annum***
***Appointments are normally made at point one of the salary scale, in line with the organisations pay policy. A higher starting salary may be considered where the successful candidate demonstrates relevant experience, skills and competencies for the role.
Working Pattern: This is a full-time role of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am 4.30pm.

Skills and abilities Essential
Demonstrable skills and experience in maintaining accounting systems Excel skills with demonstratable experience An understanding of the principles of Information Governance, confidentiality and data protection Ability to prioritise duties and rank tasks and work to tight deadlines Excellent communication written and verbal
Personal qualities and attributes Essential

Qualifications and experience Essential
AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent experience Accounting software experience or similar Previous experience of providing finance support in a multidisciplinary environment

Experience of working in charity finance
