Job summary
We are recruiting for a Housekeeper - Maternity who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality service by meeting and greeting visitors to the ward. You will support the ward manager and the ward clinical team in ensuring a customer friendly approach is used in interactions with patients and stakeholders.
You will also support the general running of the ward by being involved in general organisational.

Main duties of the job
You will serve the meals and drinks to our patients throughout the shift.
Do ordering and stocking up of the wards products.
Ensure kitchen is cleaned and efficient running.
Communicate with the patients and relatives of their nutritional needs.

Person Specification
Previous Experience Essential
Clear and polite telephone and verbal communications. Ability to work closely with all grades of staff. Dealing with enquiries/complaints Adaptability, ability to prioritise work, especially under pressure. Customer service focused environment.
Desirable
Previous employment within the NHS within a hospital environment or hotel industry. Training in food hygiene Training in cleaning standards/small maintenance tasks.
Skills Essential
Motivation and initiative to work alone, and within a team. Able to organise and ensure that the environment is conducive to health care. Politeness, approachable with all patients, staff, and visitors. Confidentiality Flexible/adaptable.
Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of Health and safety Issues Clerical Procedures and Ordering of Supplies Working with the public

Qualifications / Training Essential
Basic general education - English & Math Computer Literate
