District Nursing Administrator - Band 3
An opportunity has arisen for Administrators in the District Nursing Service working in the borough of Enfield.
Candidates will be prepared to travel around the borough providing administrative support to busy district nursing teams, as well as also being part of a busy district nursing referrals office taking calls from the public, processing referrals from hospitals and GP surgeries around the borough.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of patient information systems; have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of working within a team.

Main duties of the job
To take referrals and messages ensuring they are logged and passed on to the appropriate clinician in line with indicative urgency. To liaise with patients and their carers, relatives, Social Services, members of the Primary Healthcare Team and any other agencies as appropriate, maintaining confidentiality and treating all situations with sensitivity and tact. To record referrals and retrieve patient information using the RiO Data Management System. To scan referrals and upload them into the patient information system in an accurate and secure manner. To disseminate other information to clinical teams and managers as requested.

Education & Professional Qualifications Essential
NVQ Level 3 in Business administration or customer care, or equivalent experience
Experience Essential
Experience of clinic and/or reception work Managing busy workload and conflicting priorities
Desirable
Handling confidential and sensitive information in accordance with the Data Protection Act
Skills and aptitudes Essential
Demonstrates excellent intrapersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Good knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Ability to plan, prioritise and organise a number of activities and continually reprioritise to meet tight, conflicting and often changing deadlines
Personal Qualities & attributes Essential
Ability to work as a member of a team Flexible, responsive approach to work. Able to deal very sensitively and non - confrontationally with colleagues, patients, and relatives.

Demonstrable ability to meet Trust values oFull driving licence, appropriate insurance for business purposes. oAble to drive or move between bases when required.
