Job Description: Our client is seeking a Contracts Manager / Contracts Paralegal to manage, draft and review NDAs, indemnity agreements and other routine contracts while also helping improve, automate and scale contracting workflows. The right person must know how to navigate a contract, draft well, spot and escalate legal issues, and keep contract processes moving in an organized way. Just as important, this person should be energized by legal technology, AI and process improvement, and interested in helping build solutions rather than simply execute existing processes.
Top Requirements:
• Strong contracts foundation, including ability to independently work with NDAs, indemnity provisions and routine commercial agreements. • Excellent drafting, contract navigation and legal issue-spotting skills, with judgment to escalate issues appropriately. • Meaningful experience with legal operations technology, AI, automation or workflow/process improvement in a contracting environment. • Demonstrated ability to help build, configure, deploy or scale contracting technology/process solutions, not just use an existing platform. • Houston-based and comfortable working on-site Monday–Wednesday at minimum, with preference for someone who enjoys being in the office frequently.
