Job Title: Sourcing SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Sourcing Specialist supports end-to-end indirect sourcing activities and procure-to-pay operations, driving efficient supplier selection, sourcing events, negotiations, and contract execution. This role manages purchase order processes and supplier master data, resolves system and process issues, and analyzes procurement KPIs to identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency across indirect spend categories. Responsibilities • Lead and support end-to-end sourcing activities across indirect spend categories, including supplier identification, evaluation, and selection. • Plan and execute sourcing events, such as requests for proposals and competitive bids, to secure favorable commercial terms and value. • Conduct negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, service levels, and contractual conditions. • Support contract execution for indirect categories, ensuring alignment with sourcing strategies and business requirements. • Manage purchase order activities, including creation, modification, tracking, and issue resolution, to ensure timely and accurate procurement. • Maintain and update supplier master data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective supplier management. • Oversee and support procure-to-pay processes, ensuring that transactions flow smoothly from requisition through payment. • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system or process issues related to sourcing, purchasing, and procure-to-pay workflows. • Track and analyze procurement KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement. • Develop and recommend process enhancements that increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve overall procurement effectiveness. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs and timelines. • Partner with Legal teams to review and redline commercial contract terms, where applicable, to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, prioritizing multiple sourcing and procurement activities. Essential Skills • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field. • 4+ years of procurement experience supporting indirect categories such as Marketing, IT, HR, or Facilities; candidates with 2+ years of experience may be considered if they are proficient in Oracle. • Strong indirect sourcing experience, including supplier selection, sourcing events, negotiations, and contract execution. • Working knowledge of procure-to-pay processes, including requisition, purchase order, receipt, and invoice workflows. • Understanding of sourcing methodology and best practices for competitive bidding and supplier evaluation. • Working knowledge of contract fundamentals, including key commercial terms, service levels, and risk considerations. • Experience using a source-to-pay system such as Oracle, SAP, or Coupa. • Ability to track and analyze procurement KPIs and use data to inform process improvements. • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve system or process issues in procurement operations. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience partnering with Legal teams to review and redline commercial contract terms. • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with a focus on streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency. • Comfort operating in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple concurrent sourcing activities. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers. • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing supplier master data and purchase order documentation. Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a hybrid work environment, with three days onsite and two days working from home each week. Onsite work takes place in a professional office setting that supports collaboration with procurement, legal, and other business teams. Parking costs for temporary staff are covered and handled through agency billing arrangements. The role relies on modern source-to-pay technologies such as Oracle, SAP, or Coupa and involves regular use of procurement and contract management systems in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
