Job Title: Financial AnalystJob DescriptionThe Financial Analyst will play a key role in analyzing business performance across product categories, funnels, and geographies, while building and maintaining financial reports and statements in compliance with US GAAP. This role supports audits, prepares insightful leadership reporting, enhances reporting efficiency through process improvements and automation, and contributes to budgeting, reforecasting, and variance analysis. The analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, strengthen internal controls including SOX compliance, and help drive strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth beauty and wellness environment, with the potential for long-term career growth and conversion to a full-time role.Responsibilities
• Analyze business performance across product categories, funnels, and geographies to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. • Build monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity for stakeholders. • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, maintaining high standards of financial integrity. • Support quarterly and year-end audits by preparing audit working papers and responding to audit-related inquiries. • Prepare monthly reports for leadership teams, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and actionable insights. • Implement processes to enhance reporting efficiency, including automation and the adoption of new financial tools and systems. • Assist with budgeting, reforecasting, and variance analysis across departments to support planning and performance management. • Partner cross-functionally with teams across the organization to align financial goals with broader business objectives. • Strengthen the internal controls framework and processes, including supporting and maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. • Apply strong attention to detail while maintaining the ability to understand and communicate the broader strategic picture. • Demonstrate a proactive, collaborative mindset by seeking ways to add value and improve processes rather than waiting for direction. • Navigate and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-growth environment focused on beauty and wellness products. Essential Skills
• relevant coursework or 1–2 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, public accounting, or corporate finance, preferably in a high-growth environment. • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field of study with a record of high academic achievement, ideally from a top university. • Strong financial analysis and financial reporting skills, including experience preparing and interpreting financial statements. • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions used for financial modeling and analysis. • Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and familiarity with financial modeling software and accounting practices. • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls in a corporate finance setting. • Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to see and communicate the bigger strategic picture. • Proactive and collaborative approach to work, with the ability to take initiative and contribute ideas. • Eagerness to learn and ability to operate comfortably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in FP&A, investment banking, public accounting, or corporate finance within a high-growth company is highly desirable. • Familiarity with tools such as Looker, ERP systems, or Alteryx is a plus and will support reporting automation and data analysis. • Experience working with financial modeling software and other finance-related tools. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners. • Interest in the beauty and wellness industry and enthusiasm for contributing to a brand focused on intelligent skin and hair products. • Motivation to pursue long-term career growth, including the potential to convert from a contract role to a full-time position. • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and build strong working relationships across the organization. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an in-person office environment within a fast-paced, high-growth beauty and wellness company. During the training period, the Financial Analyst works onsite 5 days per week to ensure strong onboarding and collaboration. After training, the schedule transitions to 4 days in the office and 1 work-from-home day on Wednesdays, providing a balance of in-person teamwork and remote flexibility. Typical working hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The environment emphasizes collaboration, learning, and innovation, with exposure to modern financial tools and systems that support reporting, analytics, and process automation. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
